Allegheny County Voter Strategy StoryMap

This project was created as part of my graduate work to help local candidates understand the diverse electorate in Allegheny County during the 2025 municipal election cycle. I designed and wrote an interactive ArcGIS StoryMap that brings together precinct-level voter turnout, mail-in voting trends, racial and generational demographics, and key issues like housing affordability.

The goal was to give candidates a clear, accessible guide to running effective, community-centered campaigns, especially in local races with limited resources. The StoryMap includes data from the 2020 and 2024 elections, census-based demographic profiles, and a precinct-level dashboard that I built to help users explore trends across neighborhoods.

The final section offers data-informed policy strategies on housing affordability and community engagement, encouraging candidates to focus on local needs instead of national rhetoric.

Changing the American Climate Change Together

I designed this as my final project for my Telling Stories with Data course at Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. This project promoted the message that the difference in climate policy beliefs is not as significant of a policy issue as the public often perceives it. I used Shorthand and Tableau in the design of this project.

2020 Election Results by Voter Demographic

I designed this as one of my class projects for my Telling Stories with Data course at Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. The assignment was to find a poorly done infographic and then improve upon it through our own design.
